Orthodontics | Financial Information

Each treatment varies based on the persons particular situation. At Tardy Orthodontics, we offer a free orthodontic exam where we determine the treatment that is best for you. There are several ways you can pay for your treatment, including insurance plans or health savings accounts. We also offer financing options that allow our patients to break up the cost into monthly installments. In addition, our flexible payment plans are designed to help you make the most of your budget while still getting the treatment you need.

Affordable Payment Plans for Orthodontics

At Tardy Orthodontics, we aim to make premium orthodontic care affordable for everyone.

We offer ways to help with your cost of treatment:

  • 0% Financing or Interest-free payment plans
  • Flexible down payment and affordable monthly payment options
  • Discount for upfront payment in full for treatment
  • Family discounts – NOTE: discount will vary depending on your insurance plan

We find a lot of patients have a $200 per month or less monthly payment plan. We can usually devise a financial plan that fits your budget. Your monthly costs are determined by the down payment and the number of monthly payments.

FSA OR HSA?

If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you can use the funds to pay for your treatment. FSA and HSA dollars are pre-tax, which means you will end up paying less by using these funds.

Cost of Orthodontic Treatment

Many people call our office and ask the question: How much do braces cost?  That is a complicated question until we do the exam because no two people have the same treatment plan.  The cost can vary greatly depending on what services are required based on your dental needs.  The following are examples of what your orthodontic treatment might cost you.  Orthodontic treatment that is limited and takes 3 to 6 months can be $500 to $2000.  For younger children that need early treatment the fee may range from $2000 to $4000.  Teenagers and Adults that require full treatment the cost usually ranges from $4000 to $7000.  These prices also vary if you are on a PPO insurance plan.

Oral Surgery | Financial Information

Each treatment varies based on the person’s needs. We are offering an oral surgery consultation, where we determine the treatment that is best for you. When you call to schedule your consultation, we can review your insurance and let you know the fee.  At this consultation, our board-certified oral surgeon will walk you through possible treatment options. If you have a referring dentist that has a panoramic x-ray, please have it sent to the office before your appointment.  Prior to any surgery, the oral surgeon will need a 3D CBCT (x-ray) of the surgical site.  There will be a fee for this advanced x-ray.

Appointments for surgery or extractions will need to be reserved with a co-pay or down payment.

The parent, responsible party, or adult patient is financially responsible for all fees pertaining to care in this office. The good news is we accept many insurances, but keep in mind that insurance companies rarely pay for the full fee for any service. Payment is expected at the time service is rendered.

We gladly accept Cash, Check, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Visa, and Debit cards. Estimated benefits will be calculated for you and your anticipated portion will be required in full prior to your oral surgery appointment.
